4 Reasons why I gave up on Hollywood as a Christian

 


Being a Christian, especially in the last days like today is hard. Because we can find temptations everywhere and it’s hard to avoid them. Temptations to sin for example on the internet can make you give in to sin. And It is dangerous!

Nowadays we have many social media and the internet, and it has become a challenge to be a good Christian in the last days. However, many of us don’t know about the dangers of Hollywood for our faith as a Christian. It’s been 5 years since I gave up on Hollywood as a Christian and here are 4  reasons why I gave up on Hollywood as a Christian.

# 1 Many demonic symbols

If you look at Hollywood artists today, they use many demonic symbols such as pentagram, one eye, etc. They even openly ‘worshipping’ demons in their video, concerts, and movies. As Christians, we need to avoid those because we want to give our all to God and not get influenced by those demons hiding in the demonic symbols. That’s why many demonic symbols are one of the 4  reasons why I gave up on Hollywood as a Christian.

# 2 Many LGBTQ+ reference

If you look at movies especially new movies there usually have many LGBTQ+ references such as in Barbie and many more movies. As Christians, we are called to love people but LGBTQ+ but hate their sins. We love them so they can repent and get back on track with God. So many children these days have watched the movies and maybe they will get the wrong ideas about the ideal traditional family in the future. That is why many LGBTQ+ references became one of the 4 reasons why I gave up Hollywood as a Christian.

# 3 Too many curse words

As Christians we have power in our tongue and what we say. In most of the Hollywood songs they usually have many curse words maybe it's cool for them but for us as Christians its not. We have power in our tongue that’s why we have to use our tongue and what we say wisely make sure that you let out blessings, not curses. That’s why Too many curse words became one of the 4 reasons why I gave up on Hollywood as a Christian.

# 4 To protect myself from possible demons

We must watch what we see and what we hear it's important because what we see and hear is a gate. Hollywood has many songs that are linked with demons and sins. As a Christians, we need to protect ourselves from possible demons that can be transferred by the songs or the movies that we watch. That’s why ‘to protect myself from possible demons’ is one of the  4 reasons why I gave up on Hollywood as a Christian.

  It's hard having a mental illness. I also know my experience of medication as a 10-year paranoid schizophrenic really changed me, especially with isolation. First, let’s define isolation!
