Happy New Year! Now that a new year has started you might already have a resolution for this year, right? A resolution usually includes your goals, hopes, and evaluations from the past year.
Writing a resolution is important to start a year to
be more productive. When you write a resolution it usually depends on your goals
(short-term dan long-term goals) and also what bad habits or traits you want to
change. Changing a habit and traits can be hard that’s why writing a resolution
can motivate you more. Here are 3 Things you must write on your next year's New Year’s
Resolution.
# 1 Divide goals by highlighting or underlining certain goals
It’s important to underline or highlight certain goals
to achieve in the new year. Start with the color red, and underline what career
goals you really want to accomplish and are urgent such as excelling in your career, getting a
job, getting promoted, etc. Then you can add another color like yellow for your
spiritual goals like more interaction in church, more charity work, more donations
or even getting closer to God. Then you can choose any color you want for the
things you want to accomplish but not as urgent as the red ones.
# 2 The Ny, Y, P
Basically, this helps you at the end of the year to
divide which resolution you have accomplished (Y=Yet accomplish), you have not yet
accomplished (NY=Not Yet), and are in the process of accomplishing these goals
(P=Process). It’s important to know which goals you have accomplished and those
you have not yet accomplished also that in process. Excelling in your career or
getting closer to God is something that needs quite a long time to accomplish
so you can mark those with a P at the end of the year.
# 3 Don’t forget to write last year’s resolution that has not yet been accomplished and is in process
Writing down your goals in your new year resolution
makes you more eager to accomplish those goals. When you’re writing a new year resolution
be sure to reflect on last year's resolution and write the last year's resolution
that has not yet been accomplished and is in process for your next year's resolution.
How about you? Do you have another tip and must when
it comes to writing your New Year resolution? Be sure to write that in the comments!
